Meteor Strike
Meteors have been inexplicably destroying your town for the past week. Can you find the cause and put a stop them?

Controls
Keyboard Controls
- WASD - Move
- Space - Roll, Fire Cannon, advance story
- J/K/L - Attack1/2/3 respectively
- Attack after rolling - Modified attack
How to Play
You must launch yourself into the air to destroy meteors. Punch them. Kick them. Or you could simply slam into them at high speed. Do what you can to protect your town.
Upgrade your abilities to increase your efficiency and earn more money. Deal more damage by increasing your strength and attack. Or increase your hardness and just ram your body into the meteor. Upgrade your cannon to shoot yourself higher and destroy larger meteors.
Why are meteors suddenly falling at such an alarming rate? Maybe if you upgrade your cannon to the highest level, you can find out where they're coming from!
Upgrades
Use the money earned from destroying meteors to upgrade your cannon and abilities. The maximum level is 20.
- Cannon: How high the cannon can shoot you.
- Hardness: How hard your body is (deals more damage when bumping into meteors)
- Strength: How much damage you deal.
- Attack 1/2/3: Focuses on increasing the power of each attack type.

Beta
This game is in beta and may have a few bugs. However, you should be able to play it to completion! You've beaten the game once one of the NPC's mentions "post game".

A fun take on the whole "You're shooting something up int he area and buying upgrades to make it go further" genre! Simple but fun.
But I gotta ask, can we have some sort of "hold button down to keep attacking" function? By the last couple of rounds I was getting pretty fatigued pounding J.
Thanks. This is a known bug: you technically CAN hold any of the attack keys to keep attacking but periodically the attack will be a dud (does no damage and the animation special effect won't play). We didn't have time to fix this bug before the game jam deadline, but I'll put that on the chopping block for after the judging is complete. Thanks for your input :)
Edit: also, the planned gamepad support should help with that as well.
Simple game idea but i would say it has an interesting concept, and a lot of room to add more things to the game
